Alima

Aids in Africa

Alima has HIV. She is a widow and a mother of six children. Her husband left her after he learned about her disease. Alima survives only with the help of an Aids-initiative in a village in Burkina Faso. They provide her with food, with information about her disease and with some basic medication. To afford the medicine she had to sell her mattress. Now she sleeps on the floor. Alima is too sick to walk but riding her bike she can make it to the Aids-initiative.
