The focus of our work is classic picture-reporting about politics, economy and society.
We also illustrate every subject in public relations – including events, spezial portraits and pictures of work-days.
Photothek are the photographers Ute Grabowsky, Thomas Imo und Thomas Köhler.
Thomas Imo is by education an advertising-photographer. He served in the photo-department of the ministry of defence and then took over the Bonn-branch of the picture-agency Werek. In 2000 he founded – together with Thomas Köhler – the photo-agency Phalanx and in 2004 - together with Thomas Köhler und Ute Grabowsky – he founded photothek. In 2006 he tought photo-journalism at the university of Gelsenkirchen.
Thomas Köhler represents photothek in the capital. His apprenticeship was with dpa in Bonn – then he followed the government-crowd to Berlin.
Ute Grabowsky has learned at the agency Imo and worked as a self-employed photographer for more than five years. Her specialty is the creative look at an every-day-situation.
Also working in our Berlin office are photographers Liesa Johannssen and Thomas Trutschel.
